I was asked to make a prototype of a design award. The only information I received was a screenshot of the layout.
The real award was to be made of glass and granite. For the prototype I used acrylic glass for the upper body and I made the rest look like granite by using abrasive paper coloured with wax crayon.
The words were printed and added by hand.

THE JU JU JUs is a fictional music performance project from Hamburg, committed to sheer provocation and eccentricity.
None of the artists plays an instrument. They don’t have a musical concept, never practice and they form spontaneously and without notice.
Armed with a 9 parts rhythm and percussion instruments set from Lidl, they try to break through musical and gender-specific conventions.

The berlin based agency dyrdee asked their resident and freelance artists to produce motion graphics on canvas.
They provided us with markers, cans, canvas and oil paint and the only restriction was to use the dyrdee colour: turquoise.
And this is my painting.

A film by Albert Radl (Germany, 2011).
“Prinz Ratte” is a fairy tale with everything that is needed for a fairy tale: A castle, a princess, a prince, a dragon, a secret admirer and deep emotions, but also with an unexpected ending and an uncommon truth about little heroes and big desire ...
